Conducted research on the situation of government controlled/state owned print media in Botswana and Namibia. This research required me to examine the print media environment in both these countries. It also involved examinations of the government’s relationship with the print media and the media policies in both countries. This research had to be presented in the form of a report, which covered various aspects.

Tutored a first year media class as part of my university scholarship agreement. In fulfilling this requirement, I attended tutor-training workshops over a four-month period. I acted as supervisor to the media tutors in 2007. My duties included: conducting tutorials when necessary (first and second year), keeping track of student attendance, tending to problems that tutors and students had, and general administrative work concerning tutorials and the media courses for first and second year. I also marked 1st year examinations.

Interned at the Media Magazine for one month in January 2006, which required me to conduct telephonic interviews, surveys, research, and write small articles. The internship was a learning experience for me. Unfortunately, the company encountered some legal problems, which resulted in the conclusion of my internship.

Worked for the promotion company Midnight Oil/Y-knot Promotions where I promoted various products. The job specifically required me to interact with customers.
