- Initiated the early-stage development of the company’s OMV vaccine platform. - Directed early-stage development of the group B meningococcal OMV vaccine. Led a 3–5-member team in strain engineering, product evaluation, and assay development. - Actively participated in the CMC development of the group B meningococcal OMV vaccine, took part in analytical methods development and product specification. - Extensively engaged in the safety and efficacy evaluation of the group B meningococcal OMV vaccine, including animal study design and assay development. - Contributed to document preparation for the IND application of the group B meningococcal OMV vaccine, including SOPs, testing reports, and quality standards.

Science: Led projects to level-up R&D efficiency. Designed and optimized automated strain engineering processes with automated equipments. Developed standardized methods for automated strain design, gene cloning and assembly, and high-throughput screening. Leadership: Led teams of 2 or 3 persons in process development and gene engineering projects. Provided technical consultation for the whole molecular biology and screening team. Government projects: Won goverment funding, the QIMINGXING grant from Shainghai Bureau of Science and Technology as a project leader. Recruitment: Participated in interviews and screened applicants for biology R&D positions.

I worked as a reseach assistant at Jesse Zalatan Lab in the Chemistry department. My research was focused on developing CRISPR-based transcriptional activation tools in various bacterial organisms that enable programmable control of gene expression for synthetic and biotechnological applications.

I worked as a teaching assistant in the department of Chemistry at University of Washington. I taught tutorial sessions and coordinated laboratory activities for students taking organic chemistry classes.

I worked as an undergraduate researcher in three groups: - Chun Liang lab, studying eukaryotic DNA replication mechanisms; - Zhihong Guo lab, doing structural analysis of the biosynthetic enzyme MenD - Benzhong Tang lab, working on developing materials that have aggregation-induced emission properties. The work I contributed in the Guo lab was published in Journal of American Chemical Society (JACS): link included.

I received my doctorate degree in chemistry in Aug 2019. Having completed all the course credits in a chemistry-based curriculum, my dissertation project was focused on molecular bioengineering. The topic of my dissertation was "Programming Bacterial Gene Expression Using Synthetic CRISPR-Cas Transcriptional Regulators"
