Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Advisor
After a year as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, I was promoted into a Recruiter role at Newmont, where I led the end-to-end hiring process for a variety of corporate and technical functions across the organization. I partnered with hiring managers to understand their team needs, developed strategic sourcing plans, and delivered high-quality candidates in a competitive talent market. I managed full-cycle recruitment—from intake meetings and sourcing to interviews, offers, and onboarding—while prioritizing candidate experience, diversity, and alignment with Newmont’s values. I also played a key role in advising hiring teams on market trends, streamlining processes, and mentoring new coordinators. This role deepened my expertise in stakeholder management, candidate engagement, and building high-performing teams in a global, mission-driven organization.

I partnered closely with recruiters and hiring managers to deliver a seamless candidate experience while ensuring efficiency and compliance throughout the hiring process. My responsibilities included scheduling interviews across multiple time zones, managing candidate communications, initiating background checks, and maintaining accurate data in our applicant tracking system. I also contributed to onboarding activities and helped improve processes to enhance the speed and quality of hires. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, I honed my organizational skills, attention to detail, and passion for building strong candidate and stakeholder relationships — all while supporting Newmont’s mission of responsible and sustainable mining.
