Project Coordinator
Hull, United Kingdom
For the past 18 months I have been part of the Project Team in Hull, aiding the setup of the new Blade Factory and training facilities. This role has allowed me to develop my leadership and project skills by embracing new opportunities and working as part of an amazing team. I have designed, facilitated and jointly inducted over 1000 new starter's in to the business, ensuring they are provided with the most relevant information and tools to take them in to their intense training. I have managed numerous supplier's, challenging their current ways of working to improve processes, reduce costs and build relationships. Demonstrating to be part of the Ownership Culture, I have designed and owned the PPE process for all new starter's joining the business, concentrating on Zero Harm. Working closely with the Hull Chamber of Commerce and building on relations has in turn proved to be beneficial, in terms of support and funding. As the project comes to a close I am looking at implementing new process which will allow us to move to BAU, many aspects which I have learnt from this invaluable experience.

Training and Forecasting Coordinator
Siemens Wind Power
Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
Working closely with the Training Centre’s (UK and DK) and Onshore/Offshore Sites to ensure that training demands and forecasts were met. Constant communication between all parties was essential due to strict time constraints and cancellation charges. On a daily basis I had to authorise, cancel and change training locations as well as dealing with Ad Hoc requests. Due to high numbers of cancellations I ran sessions to re-train Site Coordinators to understand the forecast procedure, which reduced numbers and proved to be a cost-saving to the business. I also worked closely with the Training Manager, designing and implementing a new SharePoint system to facilitate and track health and safety training for all white collars in the Renewables business. This included liaising with the Training Centre and Technician’s to ensure they have been picked up on the new Bundle Training Plan, along with reporting from the Training Centre Manager System for monthly reports.

Onboarding Support Co-ordinator
Siemens
Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
As part of the On-Boarding and Technical Training Team, I was responsible for overseeing the Onboarding experience for new starter technicians in Siemens Wind Power Division. This was from initial point of contact through to the end of their 6 week training period. I was the candidates first point of contact after their inital offer and would then run the necessary pre-employment checks, right to work documentation and arrange all medicals. I liaised with internal departments, shared service and third party providers on a daily basis, building solid working relationships. Other weekly tasks included, delivering the ‘Welcome to Wind’ Induction to new starter groups, producing monthly cost and annualised hours reports for Finance and setting up new Vendor PO frameworks and increase existing PO’s to keep up with demand. During 2014, Wind Power had the largest recruitment and Onboarding drive in Siemens history. For my role in this successful company achievement, I have been nominated for and received a ‘Podium Award’.
