Worked as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist school for children aged 2 to 11 years of age with profound, complex or challenging needs including children on the autistic spectrum. My duties involved supporting small groups of children with learning and physical disabilities in the Early Years Foundation Stage to promote their educational attainment and attend to their personal care needs I was responsible for supporting the teacher in the classroom to plan, adapt and evaluate programmes for the children to meet their individual needs and to minimise risk. I also worked as part of a team with the other members of staff and develop relationships with parents to promote the well-being and personal development of all children.
