Duties include: Discussing and advising material selection with customers. Formulating and testing elastomers to various standards. Modelling effective lifetime of seals. Conducting research work to greater understand Physical and Chemical processes within elastomers.

Duties include: Attending seminars and training courses to further knowledge on elastomers. Developing macro's to increase efficiency. Formulate and evaluation of materials for unique applications. Further understanding of statistics as applied to process control. (e.g Cpk, Ppk etc) Further understanding of Statistics as applied to experiments and research (e.g. DoE methods, Confidence limits) Lab batch rubber mixing.

Duties in the Quality department include: Assisting the Quality department to complete complex paperwork and abide by a quality plan. Using metrology equipment to evaluate compliance to technical drawings. Programming CMM equipment. Duties in the laboratory include: Measurement of physical and chemical properties of elastomers. Develop understanding of laboratory equipment and how to manipulate them to run non standard experiments.

Operating the presses. Duties included: Moulding rubber components to specifications whilst following H&S. Following standard operating procedures.

Studying IChemE accredited courses. Passed with a 2:1

Work experience at Salamander Brewery in Bradford. Work Included: Reviewing the process and recommending process improvements Following company procedure on sterilization processes. Following health and safety guidelines for chemical handling Assisted in the complete brewing process using various process flow, measuring and cleaning equipment.

Worked for two weeks as a teaching assistant. Responsibilities included: Organizing teaching equipment. Streamlining teaching areas for members of staff. Assisting students in in-lesson work. Teaching a focus lesson on exam writing skills.

Work experience at a national church in Bradford. Work included: Filming (assisted and un-assisted). Creating promotional videos and placards using such as Adobe software. Responsibilities include: Ensuring my own work was completed on time and contributing to team discussions.
