Lt. Charles Kenniff (Ret.)

I am a retired Lieutenant with over 36 years of experience in law enforcement leadership, administration, crisis intervention and instruction. My company works in support of progressive organizations looking to achieve their mission and exceed set goals, while providing excellent service to its consumers and the community ethically, responsibly and respectfully. I started in 1984 with the NYPD where I worked in various capacities until I came to Florida in October of 1990, when I joined the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. There I acted in various capacities and ranks until I retired as the Training Lieutenant after 31 of service to the Sarasota community. Now I am taking this skill set to both the private and public sector to assist companies and governmental agencies to bridge the gap between service providers and communities. As the founder of Kenniff Training & Consulting I have continued to provide instruction on bias and proper response to mitigate stressful relationships and situations. Our goal is provide awareness on all types of stigma and to reduce prejudice through instructional training on Crisis Response, De-escalation, Ethics, and Leadership, with a focus on understanding mental illness and addiction. In my free time I enjoy running, swimming, darts and reading, while also spending time with my family and grandkids.
