Responsible for planning, staff, and operations the Center for Instructional Innovation and Technology Services. Identifies new distance and distributive learning technologies and evaluates the appropriateness for use. Develops and oversees the implementation of online/hybrid student support and faculty support services. Directs the efforts to identify new distance learning course materials, evaluates the appropriateness for use, disseminates materials to faculty, and manages the approval process. Assists in the development of the College's distance learning program and strategic plan. Supervises Center for Instructional Innovation and staff. Provide Provost with status reports on a regular basis. Define and develop core training programs for all distance learning programs. Responsible for providing auditors with documentation and explanation for the Learning Management System audit.

Responsible for consulting, training and assisting faculty with the Moodle online course management system. Moodle administrator responsible for maintaining day-to-day course and student data. Performs needs analysis to determine what new applications to implement. Manage other instructional designers to insure consistent training strategies. Experienced with Instructional Design principles, course development and project management, ability to demonstrate proficient writing skills and communicate electronically, ability to work collaboratively with others, ability to schedule and meet commitments. Design instructional documentation for distribution to faculty, staff and students. Administrator, develop and train faculty/staff with using the outcomes system used for university accreditation such as SACS, NCATE, ABET, etc.

Responsible for survey administration (Student Opinion Survey, Graduation Satisfaction, NSSE, FSSE, ETS Testing, and other SACS or university requirements) and distribution of results by web and/or hardcopy. Produce Facts Booklet, Fact Brochure, update computer and office webmaster. Perform research and data collection. Part of the team that collectively produces presentations, and long-term or short-term projects as assigned by Legislature, System, Executive Administration. Assist with federal, state, system and university reporting requirements. Assist with survey completion from external entities, which impact the University’s funding.

Coordinate the development and implementation of distance learning programs delivered through interactive video, on-line Internet, and video programs. Primary duties include training faculty members to use multi-media hardware and software to develop quality instructional programs; assisting faculty in designing academic courses to be delivered at a distance using distance technologies (Interactive Video, Web-Base, Video Programs, etc.); keeping computer laboratory functional and operational, making necessary hardware/software upgrades; researching learning materials and resources for use by faculty in classroom instruction; and assisting the Director in monitoring the delivery of courses at distance locations and supervising the work of student employees assigned to the center. Developed the centers web page.

Maintained and supported a Web based system used for utilization reporting on telecommunication switches. Used UNIX as the backend and Windows NT as the front-end operating systems. Created scripts to automate the daily maintenance process. Lead contact for setting up Y2K testing environment. Worked with the customer support team to get new telecom switches turned up. Worked closely with UNIX system administrator to install operating system on test machines. Documented all modification to the system. Used GroupWise and POP3 for email.

Analyzed UNIX based product used by retail institutions for financial and merchandising reporting. Created documentation to assist the MIS department with daily user support. Helped train users on MS desktop, CCMAIL, data warehousing, merchandising systems and the use of network printers. Upgraded corporate users to Windows 95. Supported corporate users by training them to use Windows 95

Designed programs used to install software in standalone/LAN environments. Developed software used by financial institutions to interface with mainframe host systems. Wrote product specifications and technical manuals. Supported clients and vendors by troubleshooting to resolve problems. Customized client software. Modified and tested banking application for Y2K readiness. Assisted the LAN administrator with the Novell network.
