Engineering Manager for Aeroflex UK. Managing multiple very large scale engineering developments with budgets reaching $40M+. Products range from general purpose tests and measurement all the way through to specialised wireless test equipment. Programmes include large roadmap software development products through to RF centric modular test equipment. All aspects of product development, development processes and procedures, budgets, resourcing, roadmaps, interacting with product management and line management are included. Development programmes are geographically split across 5 sites including Scotland, India, China and the UK.

UK Programme Manager for Aeroflex UK, managing all the engineering development programmes in the UK, Scotland and India. This role includes managing the development programmes, roadmaps as well as the budgets ($40M+). Managing several simultaneous, very large HW and SW programmes. Ranging from new products to roadmap type products for the test and measurement market sector. Products include a mix of general purpose and specialised test and measurement equipment. New product introduction (manufacturing) and new product development are combined. Gained experience in site consolidation, managing budget reductions and off-shoring development programmes

Senior Programme and Infrastructure Manager for the TM500 Programme at Aeroflex Cambridge. Responsible for the LTE FDD/TDD, WCDMA, HSPA multi UE and Single UE development programmes. Managing programmes, budgets, resources, SW and HW development, Algorithm group, test departments, VHDL, protocol and physical layer developments across multiple programmes running under TM500. Interface between project management and product management. Dealing with customer defects (maintenance) together with development across multiple products

Senior Project Manager at Aeroflex (Aeroflex acquired Ubinetics on 20 May 2005) responsible for the project management of the TM500 product line. Managed one large scale development at a time. Managed software development programmes for WCDMA and them transitioned over to managing first to market TM500 LTE products including multi UE and Single UE for LTE FDD and TDD. Established automated regression testing and helped to manage the transition from WCDMA to LTE.

Involved in the system architecture of complex wireless products (TM500). Formed part of the Software Architecture team for the first TM500 delivery. Responsible for the team leading activities of the physical layer (Digital signal processing) development team working on TM100 and then migrated to TM500.

I was responsible for the embedded software and signal processing divisions. I also did quite a bit of signal processing, hardware design, software design, debugging and high speed layouts. The team size was around 25 people.

Held the position of Section Manager of the DSP division (DSP Department Head). Responsible for all the digital signal processing development for Grintek Communications.
