Chard is a seasoned choreographer and dance teacher with over 25 years experience, with expertise in dance theatre choreography and modern techniques based on Cunningham, Limon, and Graham principles. He also enjoys teaching ballet, jazz, improvisation, and somatic techniques. Academic teaching experience includes university and high school conservatory level classes in dance history, music for dance, ethnic dance studies, dance production, and critical dance studies. Administrative experience includes teacher training, curriculum development, developing and maintaining studio policies, student record keeping, plus annual and project budgets. Arts management experience includes production management of professional and academic dance performances, marketing, grant writing, fundraising, public relations, strategic planning, board development, plus company and tour management.
