I had the privilege of meeting with Mayor Terry Lynne of Farmers Branch, whose leadership and commitment to his community left a lasting impression on me. We discussed the city’s $40 million landfill contract challenge, exploring proactive solutions such as modest upfront fees to ensure long-term sustainability while minimizing future burdens on residents. Mayor Lynne’s strategic, people-first approach to governance showed me how thoughtful planning can prevent crises and protect community interests. What stood out most was his integrity, humility, and full engagement during our conversation—turning off his phone, sharing personal notes, and emphasizing the importance of active listening. He shared how witnessing injustice and financial mismanagement inspired him to run for mayor, including a pivotal moment when he exposed corruption that led to the resignation of a council member. This conversation deepened my passion for civic engagement and affirmed my belief that leadership is defined not by titles, but by integrity, service, and making tough decisions for the greater good. Finally, Mayor Lynne’s story—and his leadership—ignited in me a deeper passion to learn about my city, engage with my local government, and contribute meaningfully to my community’s growth and well-being.

Currently serving as Vice President for the Uplift North Hills Preparatory Class of 2027, with two years of experience and continuing in the role through graduation. Led and organized over 150 students to raise over $12,000 in 2 years. Organized various school events like Homecoming, Promenade, and Pep rallies while working with school administrators, staff, and other class councils.

As a Red Cross Member, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to service projects that promote health, preparedness, and humanitarian aid. I also work as a Social Media Ambassador, using platforms like Instagram to raise awareness about vital causes. From spreading educational content to promoting youth volunteer opportunities, I believe in using my voice and creativity to reach wider audiences and inspire others to get involved.

I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Tech Beyond Coding, where I explored the world beyond just writing code, diving deep into the business, strategy, and structure behind tech. I gained insight into Product and Project Management roles, learned how teams operate under Waterfall vs. Agile methodologies, and practiced building and analyzing RACI matrices to define roles and responsibilities

Tutored Math, Science, and Reading to 10+ elementary, middle, and high school students through one-on-one virtual sessions. Created custom lesson plans and utilized IXL learning to teach students various academic concepts.
