Chalon Clark- Thomas

I am a litigator on the firm’s Financial Services team. I assist clients in disputes involving contracts, review of contracts and leases to identify potential litigation risks, employer/employee relations, collection-related matters, foreclosures, fraud, banking, partnership, real property, mortgage lending, construction and brokerage/securities issues. I also represent clients in employment-related lawsuits, including claims related to discrimination, non-compete and theft of trade secrets. In addition, I have experience drafting employee handbooks, policies and codes of conduct. I practiced with Brown McCarroll prior to the Husch Blackwell and Brown McCarroll merger in July 2013.

Draft opinions and orders on all dispositive motions. Draft findings of fact and conclusions of law and jury charges. Instruct attorneys and pro se litigants on court procedure and assist in conflicts concerning the meaning of procedural rules. Assist judge during trials and hearings. Manage efficiency of court docket.

Formulated recommendations circulated to the Court presenting research and legal analysis of petitions for review, and attended justice conference discussing ruling. Edited and cite checked justice opinions.
