Director of the Secretariat for the Chevening scholarship programme - the UK government's flagship international scholarship programme for outstanding future leaders that supports 1,500 scholars to study in the UK each year. Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the scholarship management cycle are carried out - from promotion and selection through to scholarship placement and engagement and alumni management. Responsible delivery of contract and meeting KPIs to the clients - the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and to the Marshall Aid Commemoration Committee. Leadership of Secretariat team of over 40 direct reports, and cross-functional leadership with professional services within British Council (IT, Finance, HR, Comms and External Relations). Lead on strategy and efficient service delivery. Stakeholder engagement and close collaboration with FCDO, and with higher education institutions and other partners.

Leading the mobilisation project to prepare the British Council to take on the contract to deliver the Chevening and Marshall scholarship programmes from the previous supplier. Ensuring experience of over 1,500 international scholars on government-funded programmes was uninterrupted over transfer, and on-boarding 45 members of staff under TUPE requirements. Leading the implementation of the mobilisation plan. Coordinating with key stakeholders. Ensuring novation and transfer of supplier contracts.

I lead the British Council's work on the Alumni UK Programme - growing a global network of former international higher education students who have studied in the UK or studied for a UK qualification. I am the strategic lead for British Council work supporting outward mobility in higher education. I have oversight of the British Council's scholarships portfolio managing higher education scholarships for study in the UK on behalf of clients in the UK and overseas.

Lead on Cultural Relations programmes for British Council in Chile with general management responsibilities for team delivery and finance.

Implemented volunteering strategy for Ramblers' Association to strengthen the membership networks nationwide and to create new opportunities for the 40,000 members.

Developed a new programme of community volunteering for the public libraries of the London borough of Merton.
