I develop and lead the Quality strategy, execution, certifications across multiple ATCC locations. The certifications include ISO 9001, 13485, 17025, and 17034. ATCC (American Type Culture Collection) is a nonprofit, global biological resource center and standards organization and the leading developer and supplier of authenticated cells lines and microorganisms. As Director of Quality, manage one Regulatory Manager and nine Quality Managers across nine sites in the US and Mexico. Support and maintain certification across all sites ISO13485, TS16949, AS9100, CMDCAS and FDA QSR 820, review sites Quality and Business objectives monthly with collaboration from site QA Managers and facilitate root cause analysis with key customer returns across sites. Earned fast track promotions based on strong performance in process optimization, productivity improvement and quality management. As Quality Manager, responsible for 3rd party compliance audits FM, UL, CSA, ISO9001, TS16949, AS1900 and NADCAP while managing seven QA Engineers, three Inspectors, two Calibration Techs, two Document Control specialists and one RMA Project Manager. Manage incoming quality department to control material flow, MRB and Quality Inspection Plans as well as manage Supplier Performance and approved vendor list. Audit suppliers for compliance to MEAS Spec requirements and ISO standards; support Measurement Specialties China with customer audits, including audits by Allison Transmission, Goodrich, Caterpillar and Raytheon. Support Engineering in New Product Introductions, manage plant’s Calibration System, manage plants Document Control System and support source inspection. Key Achievements  Led RMA team for Water Level Pressure Products reducing warrant from 5.5% of sales to 1.5%.  Saved 140k in supplier resourcing projects.  Key member of team that achieved AS9100 certification for the MEAS Spec China facility.  Guided team to achieve NADCAP compliance for brazing.  Drove monthly Steering Meetings to review Quality Objectives with top management.  Led Customer OTD team and improved OTD from 81% to 93%.  Improved RMA’s days open from 120 days to less than 60 days open.

Optical Quality Engineer, 7/2006 – 3/2007 Leveraged broad competencies in quality management, relationship-building and product development to provide overall quality of the SPO2 optical product. Completed Customer Supplier Corrective Action Request and worked with India supplier to find root cause of assembly issues. Maintained Component Part Quality and worked with suppliers to alleviate issues. Worked with customers in completing engineering changes, supported India supplier during customer (GE, Phillips and Nonin) audits. Supported suppliers in responding to audit findings by customers and assured adherence by main supplier in India to ISO 13485, GMP and FDA. Key Achievements  Implemented procedures to comply with IS013485 and GMP.  Implemented manufacturing and inspection improvements to improve quality for the supplier in India.  Assisted in implementing FDA design control standards between MEAS and supplier.  Implemented and wrote process validation protocols for the assembly of the SPO2 product as well as test equipment for supplier in India.

 Received Employee Recognition Award from plant management for first Ford plant to achieve full QOS compliance with zero findings.  Led and supervised ISO 9001 auditing teams to achieve yearly certification.  Served on Powertrain, Electrical and Body Sealing Variability Reduction Teams to resolve plant first run and external warranty issues. Actions implemented resulted in a warranty improvements of 45%.  Received Employee Recognition Award from plant management for role in driving the Powertrain Variability Reduction Team to the lowest warranty in Ford Motor Company.  Authored and updated plant operating procedures.

Ford Production Systems Group Leader, 2/1998 – 5/2004  Received Employee Recognition Award from plant management for achieving a Ford Total Maintenance Program Level 7 -- the highest possible level as a Ford Production Supervisor.  Implemented ergonomic improvements by redesigning work areas, reallocating work and submitting engineering change proposals while supervising as many as 26 employees in a series of assembly operations.  Developed Work Instructions as well as modified them during rebalance periods
