Having set up and run a successful intra-day power trading operation, we were acquired by Octopus Energy Group in March 2023. We will now look to expand the operation and success of SBTC's systems across the Groups interests, both domestically and internationally.

Set up and ran a proprietary trading house, developing a market-leading analytics suite along the way, eventually selling the company to Octopus Energy, the largest energy supplier in the country.

One of two traders, managing a £400m hedge book. Responsible for execution of all short term power and gas trades, as well as long term hedging and securing non standard shape products. I developed a strong understanding of gas and power market fundamentals, and updated the wider business of market developments to help inform hedging strategies. Also developed and maintained OVO's green gas hedging strategy, as well as trading renewable power certificates.

Performed detail cost forecasting of non-wholesale industry costs. Reported on Gross Margin forecasts to the rest of the business and provided insight on changing wholesale costs to help inform pricing decisions.

As part of the Environment team, I was involved with preparing Environmental Statements, Screening Reports, Scoping Reports and Sustainability Statements. I worked on residential, commercial and infrastructure projects with budgets of between £5m and £100m, attending design team meetings and liaising with both sub-consultants and clients.
