Construction and maintenance of rotating equipment in both Power Generation and oil/gas industries throughout Alberta. Positions per job have varied greatly from craft labor as a machinist/millwright to quality control, planning, parts procurement for all trades as well as up to and including acting as Superintendent for the building/selling of a 500MW coal fired steam turbine and its related peripherals. The majority of time between the breakout of experience listed below has been spent with Alstom Power working on both Outages & Maintenance as Craft Labour or Supervision on Hydrogen Cooled Generators, Steam Turbines and peripheral equipment related to the Boilerside of these units such as Mills/Fans/Ash Handling etc.

Construction (Through Local 1460) Multiple positions including Craft Labour, Procurement and Acting Superintendent. Superintendent position was inherited as a 4th Year Apprentice at the final 6 months of the build, quickly became self taught at the writing and resolution of NCR’s/RFI’s/EWO’s, as well as punch lists, 3 week look-aheads, workscope percentage progressions and the re-creation of 33 separate Work packages including a 500 MW Steam Turbine. Required to backtrack 15months of Q.C paperwork to enable turnover of equipment to the Client.
