Celina Nazario

My name is Celina Nazario (they/he), a photographer based in my hometown of Lancaster, PA. My artistic journey began in childhood with various art forms, but it was through photography that I truly found my voice. I started taking photos at 16, and the experience of clicking the shutter provided a unique sense of ease and excitement. This passion led me to explore portrait photography, pushing me out of my comfort zone. During high school, I hesitated to leave home, eventually joining a local community college’s photography program. At Harrisburg Area Community College, I discovered a love for learning and found a supportive environment where my passion was nurtured. I gained confidence, found my voice, and began sharing my ideas through my work. In 2023, I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Photographic and Imaging Arts. My work often explores dualities, reflecting the contradictions in my own life. I create conceptual pieces driven by emotion and capture environmental and lifestyle images that express my deep connection to nature. My photography aims to convey both the beauty and the emotional depth of the world, illustrating the joy and pain of existence.
