I'm in charge of VC related investment opportunities in China market. i-Qu & Co. is an investment firm that focuses on accessing high-quality, risk-managed investment opportunities that can generate superior returns. We established i-Qu after 20 years of investing into a dynamic venture capital market, with opportunities continuously arising from exponential advancement in technology and its rapid adoption in society.

As a fresh graduate hire at the fund, I focused on the TMT sectors, specifically Social Internet, Consumer Internet, and pre-A to C round investments. I was involved in 8 major deals: • SOULGATE (上海任意门科技 Soul APP): C round; a top social network for Generation Z in China. • Aikucun (爱库存/梦饷集团): B round; A leading crowdsourcing e-commerce platform in China. • LOOK (LOOK 时尚): A round; A social commerce enabler, specializing in fashion and retail. • 73 Hours (高跟73小时): A round; A female entry-luxury shoe brand, acquired by Belle Group. • Haitunjia (海豚家会员): A round; A membership-based social commerce startup on WeChat. • Bingobox (缤果盒子): First round; An unmanned convenience store startup in Beijing. • Citybox (上海魔盒): First round; An intelligent machine startup in Shanghai. • Chushou TV (触手直播): C round; A mobile esports live-streaming social platform. GGV Capital (now split into Notable Capital and 纪源资本) was a $6.2B AUM VC firm focused on multi-stage investments globally, with portfolios including Airbnb, Alibaba, Ctrip, Didi, Grab, Slack, Square, and Wish.

Northern Light Venture Capital(NLVC) is a venture capital fund with strong Silicon Valley roots. The founders are among the earliest Chinese entrepreneurs who achieved significant success in Silicon Valley. During my internship at Northern Light Venture Capital, I assisted investors in screening internet deals and conducted industry research on cross-border e-commerce and live streaming sectors.

K2VC is the first institutionalized angel fund in China and served as my entry point into the VC industry. During my time there, I learned sourcing, basic project research, and project analysis. I successfully sourced and assisted the partner I reported to in investing into a platform deal.

Participated in a business case competition organized by Procter & Gamble. Leveraged my previous internship experience at an internet company to develop a proposal on channel and marketing strategies for P&G’s product portfolio. My e-commerce and community marketing solutions, along with product analysis, were well-received and led to winning the national championship.

Interned at the external relations department of a leading think tank, CSIS. Assisted in liaising with the White House and mainstream media across various regional research departments. Additionally, contributed to the maintenance and updates of the think tank’s social media pages.

Talents Meet Bertelsmann competition organized by Bertelsmann. I was assigned to the case of Gruner + Jahr magazine for digital transformation. At Tsinghua University, I majored in Financial Journalism and International Journalism. My study there, including collaboration with Bloomberg News, provided me with a foundation in business and finance, and taught me to communicate with the international audience. The skills I gained in information processing, data collection, communication, and synthesizing complex information are highly relevant to the venture capital industry. I was involved in various entrepreneurial projects and received the Global Sources Scholarship and the Prudential Foundation Global Scholar Scholarship, which broadened my cross-border perspective. Upon graduation, I was the only student from my cohort to join the venture capital industry, witnessing the peak era of China’s internet entrepreneurship. This unique path has equipped me with a deep understanding of both journalism and venture capital.

I majored in English and minored in International Politics. I ranked first in my cohort for four consecutive years, graduated with honors as an Outstanding Graduate, and served as President of the Model United Nations Association. My undergraduate training in language and international relations gave me a strong foundation for understanding global affairs, cross-cultural communication, and people. Through Model United Nations, I not only achieved strong results in international conferences, but also led the organization of one of the largest MUN conferences in Southwest China, helping build a student organization that remains active today.
