As Executive Advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister, I provided strategic leadership on divisional priorities, policy development, and issues management. I coordinated legislative amendments, supported cross-ministry initiatives, and delivered high-impact briefings and speaking notes for executive audiences. I bring a values-based, people-first approach—grounded in political acuity, emotional intelligence, and clarity under pressure—to support thoughtful decision-making in fast-moving, complex environments.

Led issues management and Action Request coordination for Alberta’s North Zone, supporting over 600 staff in Employment and Financial Services. Provided timely, politically aware responses to emerging issues and escalations, while supporting zone leadership with internal communications and executive correspondence. Built alignment across operational and strategic levels, supporting the ADM’s office with calm, responsive, people-first coordination in a high-volume, high-pressure environment.

Stepped into an acting leadership role during a critical period for the division. Managed high-priority Action Requests, politically sensitive files, and executive correspondence. Liaised directly with the ADM’s office to support responsive decision-making and sustain momentum on strategic files. Also stepped in as Executive Advisor during key absences. Focused on responsiveness, clarity under pressure, and alignment across operational and executive priorities.

Led issues-based writing and executive communications for the Housing Division. Drafted Ministerial briefings, media responses, and internal updates to support public and political engagement. Shaped internal messaging with clarity, sensitivity, and strategic alignment.

Managed quasi-judicial case coordination across regulatory, surface rights, and compensation matters. Provided procedural guidance, developed legal and operational templates, and supported tribunal members in decision writing and judicial review prep. Led outreach and training to improve access to justice through plain-language materials and stakeholder navigation tools. This role built my foundation in procedural fairness, system-level thinking, and the clarity required to navigate complex processes with compassion and confidence.

I moved to Edmonton, Alberta from London, England after completing my A-Levels. I began my post-secondary education at the University of Alberta, in the Bachelor of Arts General program with the intention to transfer into the School of Business after my first year. However, my love for all things to do with the Humanities led me down a different path--a path I very much enjoyed. In addition to Classics and English, I also took a number of Latin courses during my university career. I had the pleasure of being able to take classes where I translated the first five books of "Metamorphoses" by the Roman poet Ovid. I graduated in 2012 with a major in Classics and minored in English.
