Stand Up To Cancer’s mission is to raise funds to accelerate the pace of groundbreaking translational research that can get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now. Since 2008, SU2C’s innovative funding model has raised over $500 Million dollars to fund cutting edge cancer research and programming. SU2C’s innovative research model has brought more effective treatments to patients at an unparalleled pace. SU2C brings together today’s top scientists to work toward treatments faster. Chief Scientific Administrative Officer (2019-2020) & Chief Administrative Officer (2017-2019) Key Accomplishments: • Revised and restructured research infrastructure including creation of new policies and procedures, conflicts of interest management system, grant/funding agreements, material transfer agreements and confidentiality. • Developed and implemented multiple new institutional systems related to HR and operational processes. • Revision and roll out of management and administrative trainings • Developed new board and operational guidelines and policies • Redeveloped administrative processes for tracking and management of contracts • Revision and updating on grants management processes and policies to be in line with industry standards • Led search for multiple executive positions and developing long term recruitment and staffing plan with human resources • Stewarded the negotiations and execution of over $120 Million dollars in contracts and MOUs for funding and research in 2017-2018 • As Chief Administrative Officer from 2017-2019 oversight and management of the following Stand Up To Cancer Following Key Areas: (Human Resources, Legal, Operations, Digital, Production, Media Development, Communications, and Administration)

Overall operational management of the departments of communications, events, finance, research administration, contracts and grants for the UCLA Williams Institute, a multi-disciplinary research think tank. The position oversees educational initiatives, development of new and strategic partnerships and initiatives. As Scholar of Policy, is an investigator on research interventions and multidisciplinary studies related to gender, health, HIV, education and LGBTQ issues domestically and internationally.
