Substitute teacher and Paraeducator, Special Education for mainly high school and middle school students in Marin County. Served as Paraeducator for medically fragile, disabled student in full-inclusion classes at Novato High School. Includes several long-term substitute teaching jobs in Biology, Computer Science--PE, Freshman English, Chemistry.

Administered University Health and Counseling Services primarily for CMA students with limited services for staff and faculty. Supervised shipboard health services for the annual 4-month international cruises. Provided primary care medicine for CMA students and performed US Coast Guard licensing physicals for staff and faculty, as well as students.  Implemented first digital x-ray aboard ship and electronic medical information system for ship and shore.  Principal Investigator and Program Coordinator for CalMHSA grant for mental health promotion, suicide prevention.  Performed US Coast Guard licensing assessments and physical exams; oversaw DOT drug testing program for ship and shore.

Served as staff physician providing primary care to diverse patient population and Medical Ward Attending overseeing in-patient care and instructing interns and residents in the practice of Internal Medicine.

Teach Science, Math and English to middle and high school students.

* Internal Medicine Residency, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, California (1984-1987) * Internal Medicine internship and residency at busy county hospital affiliated with Stanford University. *  Board-Certified Internal Medicine *  Elected House Staff Association President/Co-President for two years. *  Published paper (first author) in Annals Internal Medicine, March 1987, on cutaneous Pneumocystosis in AIDS. *  Supervised and taught Stanford medical students.
