“Eye Capture U!” is the standard A. Catherine Glover applies to her craft. Since launching A. Catherine Photography, her focus has been to provide professional quality images to local entrepreneurs, new and established, while highlighting the authentic truth of who they are. Catherine grew up in Duncannon, PA, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains while toting a camera. This led to freelancing during her Senior year of high school for the Perry County Times, a local newspaper focused on local businesses. Catherine escaped the freezing winters of Pennsylvania for Bradenton’s sunny shores in 2017 with her two daughters, Corina and Jakya. She regularly enjoys cycling around the area, stopping to capture the numerous natural and manmade wonders found in the area. After high school, her focus shifted to law, via the military. After completing her service term and becoming a mother, she longed for the creative outlet photography provided. She took a leap of faith in 2016 with the encouragement of close friends and her mentor, Lawrence Smith of Czar Photography. Initially Catherine wanted to provide services to her numerous artistic friends in need of brand photography. Which provided for publication internationally in British Vogue, while also assisting in the launches of several fashion lines and businesses. She still managed to create superb images of babies, pets, mushrooms, boats, and just about anything else that caught her eye. Teaming up with Bradenton Magazine, Catherine can introduce to some, while reminding others, of the amazing number of things to see and do in Manatee County. Photography is Catherine’s vehicle for sharing her passion for the art and beauty in everyday life. Through the eye of her lens, she often captures what most miss or take for granted. According to Catherine, her biggest obstacle was getting out of her own way. “Be happy with your own work and don’t allow fear to dictate your creativity,” is what she offers to other creatives looking to launch their career. Her biggest regret is allowing fear to rule her creativity for so long.
