Career Counselor, Mediator, & Trainer
About
I am passionate about inspiring and empowering individuals to discover and tap into their intuition, innate skills, passions, and creativity; and supporting them in clarifying their vision to express those unique qualities in making a difference in the world. I specialize in counseling, supporting, and empowering individuals going through major life changes including divorces and career changes by providing support and guidance through the various aspects of the career search and change process. My passion & skills are to educate and empower individuals to come to their own resolutions, in their careers or other facets of their lives. I possess over 25 years of experience as a Human Resource Recruitment and Staffing Specialist, Mediator, Trainer, and Career Counselor. I have experience on both sides of the hiring table including assisting managers in analyzing work competencies to determine job requirements and how to attract and measure the best qualified candidates; counseling applicants in the most successful application and interviewing procedures, reviewing and scoring thousands of resumes and applications, and conducting and evaluating hundreds of interviews. In addition, as a professional mediator and trainer I am uniquely qualified to support clients through the Collaborative and litigation divorce process. I am certified by the Washington Mediation Association (WMA) to mediate in the areas of Consumer, Community, Family/Divorce, Employment/Personnel, Intercultural Relations/Diversity, Labor Relations, and Landlord/Tenant. In addition, I have numerous additional training hours in advanced mediation & facilitation skills, interviewing techniques, advanced family mediation, Non-Violent Communication, and many others. As both a certified mediator and a former HR specialist I combine both professions to support clients to move through challenging times. www.CompassionateResolutions.net Specialties: • Competency & skills assessment • Career Analysis • Goal Setting • Education/retraining evaluation • Resume Writing • Interview prep • Job Search strategies • Salary Negotiation • Earning Potential over Time • Support through a divorce or separation • Entering the workforce at mid-life • Keeping your current job • Collaborative law • Family & Eldercare Mediations •Non-Violent Communication • Dependable Strengths Articulation Process®
