developed and delivered the clinical librarian service, also undertook deputy library manager roles, managing electronic journals and other resources, managing library assistants, stock selection, and standing in for library manager in his absence.

3 day a week, 11-month secondment. Providing management and professional services until new library manager arrived. Supporting the new manager in his new role and supporting and developing the clinical librarian service. This is a service that takes training and library and information services out into the clinical areas to medical and health - so they can access information at the time of need.

* Within this wide ranging role I was responsible for supporting Workforce Development Directorate staff in their information, knowledge management and library needs; including: * Manage the resource area, undertake literature searching and information literacy training, * Identify information and knowledge management needs and develop support systems, * Support the information governance agenda

* I worked in a number of departments including: * Management Support Office:- Looked at the architecture and redesign of the H of C library internet, * Parliamentary and Constitution Centre:- Indexing and digitalisation of constituency histories, * POLIS Unit:- Compiling a report exploring the use of the POLIS Current database by users across the Parliamentary Estate and in the devolved bodies of the Scottish Parliament and the National Assembly of Wales, * Official Publications Library:- Weeding of green papers, enquire and research work for MP's staff, * Library Resource Section:- Cataloguing and indexing of acquisitions, * House of Commons Information Office:- Prepared for the digitisation of Hansard, research and enquire work for the public, * International Affairs and Defence Section:- Research for MP's, Newspaper cutting, archiving of e- information.
