Hello! My name is Carsen, I’m a broadcaster/writer/political bridge-builder based in Pittsburgh PA! I believe political polarization is one of the defining problems of our time. If we cannot have constructive conversations with each other, we inhibit our collective ability to solve the most pressing issues of today and tomorrow. Too often, we misunderstand those who disagree with us, and the media landscape, shaped by its incentive structures, often encourages division rather than understanding. That’s why I focus on facilitating civil dialogue and encouraging media literacy. Nuance, intellectual humility, and charitable interpretation guide my work—I believe real understanding requires more than soundbites and strawman arguments.
