Conduct weekly shipping meetings with internal personnel. Inspect contents on orders to ensure accuracy on all export and domestic shipments. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping of materials. Communicate with customers and vendors to exchange information regarding material and services. Maintain day-to-day weighing operations including keeping scales and equipment functional, maintain customer relationships, prepare and maintain official weight records and report on daily activities. Process customer settlements and payments including signing of checks and managing cash box.

Answer customers questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. Recommend products to customers, based on customers needs and interests. Identify prospective customers by following leads from existing clients and attending trade shows. Process business to business phone, fax, online and EDI orders. Process claims, discrepancies and credit card payments. Manage and open up special international accounts. Backup to Account Executives and Sales Team.
