I work to shift systems — economic, social, financial, and environmental — toward a caring and just world.For over two decades, my career has been an exploration of how evidence, collective action, and political imagination can open pathways for people, especially women, to thrive. From positioning the care economy as a pillar of climate resilience, to pushing gender‑transformative agendas into G20 and multilateral processes, to expanding financial inclusion as part of social protection and livelihood policies across Latin America and the Caribbean, to advancing fiscal and innovative finance strategies that centre care and equality — I’m driven by the belief that another economy is possible.Much of my work has involved bringing agendas that were once invisible — care, gender equality, informal labour, the social underpinnings of climate action — into the core of economic and fiscal debates. I’ve spent years building bridges between spaces that rarely meet: feminist movements and investors, ministries of finance and gender advocates, climate negotiators and care researchers, tax and fiscal policy communities with gender‑equity agendas, researchers, practitioners and governments across Latin America and Africa learning from each other.My role at IDRC lets me bring these pieces together: managing global portfolios; co‑creating research with frontline actors; seeding partnerships across regions, institutions, and movements; and translating insights into action that governments, multilaterals, and allies can use. Whether the focus is care systems, innovative finance, GLI, financial inclusion, or designing fiscal pathways for more just and regenerative economies, my work is always about connecting the dots. I don’t see my work as “projects.” I see it as weaving: people, histories, disciplines, institutions, movements for lasting change.
