Southmark (now part of Fujitsu) provided IT managed services and application training. My role was as a senior trainer delivering classroom training on commercial products such as Microsoft and Lotus Notes as well as on customer specific / bespoke business applications. I also developed Access databases and provided Microsoft Excel and Word automation solutions using VBA. In my final year I took on responsibility for managing a small team of trainers and all aspects of the training centre function.

Auldhouse is a training consultancy with an established reputation as a leading provider of training consultancy services. As a senior trainer I delivered classroom training at an advanced level across the suite of Microsoft Products and customer specific / bespoke business applications for Auldhouse clients. Project Managing training roll outs to support technology projects was a significant component of my role and I was responsible for scoping the deliverables, learning the software, designing and authoring courses, selecting and upskilling the training team, facilitating workshops and training sessions and liaising with the development teams. Two of the largest projects were a global project for Air New Zealand transitioning users in 9 countries to a new IT platform and a nationwide project for NZ Telecom transitioning users to a new operating system and desktop environment. In addition I also managed the application training teams in the Auckland and Wellington offices and took on the day to day administration of the Auckland training centre
