 Provided technical expertise and advice regarding the conservation of historic buildings according to the “Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada” as well as helped revise the 2010 Edition.  Enforced the Heritage Conservation Act which included reviewing permit requests for Provincial Heritage Places to ensure that the heritage values and character-defining elements were respected and conserved.  Oversaw the 50,000$/year Capital/Maintenance budget for the 3 provincial heritage places utilised as museums which included prioritising projects, developing contracts, seeking bids/pricing, and appropriating professional services.  Administered the Built Heritage and Property Tax Abatement funding programs which assessed project submissions, forwarded recommendations, tracked program budgets and expenditures, as well as provided guidance and information to program proponents.  Served as secretary for the Commemorations Committee. Responsibilities included organising meetings on a bi-monthly basis, making presentations on nominated provincial heritage places, as well as performing follow up work based on the Committee’s recommendation(s) for designation under the Heritage Conservation Act.  Maintained records of historic sites within the province as well as office activities by organising files and updating databases and folders in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, the New Brunswick Register of Historic Places and archival files.
