I have been working with children and families throughout West Michigan for a number of years. I graduated from Grand Valley State University completing my course work in Sociology. The past six years I have worked within the Wyoming and Grand Rapids Public Schools. I have been a group leader and a site coordinator throughout a numerous amount of after-school programs some of these schools include Sibley, Cesar E. Chavez, and North Godwin Elementary. My experiences have taught me how to work as a team member, implement creative strategies/lesson plans for school programs, and provide support to staff/students. During my time working in elementary schools I have built positive relationships with my students, families, and staff that come from diverse backgrounds. My experiences have made me dedicated, passionate, and ambitious to help anyone in my community.
