Part of the executive team, this role provides strategic leadership and direction across the business ensuring effective governance, risk management, assurance, compliance and service delivery across the organisation. I am engaged on a fixed term contract basis. Energy Super serves approximately 48,000 members who entrust them with circa $8b in retirement savings to access a variety of investment and insurance options.

Part of the executive team, in this newly created role I was responsible for ensuring that QIC Global Real Estate's (GRE) governance environment was effective, well understood and well managed across a vertically integrated real estate investment model which oversaw approx. A$15 billion in direct real estate assets on behalf of clients. I was also accountable for ensuring GRE's business planning and P&L management was well orchestrated and executed by enabling a structural framework that engendered good decision-making and continuous improvement in strategy, financial & operational performance, compliance and accountability.

Company Secretary to QIC Limited and its subsidiaries (circa. 100 entities mananging approx. A$70 billion in assets on behalf of clients). I was responsible for provision of timely and relevant infomation to the Boards, Board Committees and Management Committees across multiple operating entites and jurisdictions. My priority was to provide an efficient governance framework which enabled good decision-making and continuous improvement in strategy, performance, compliance and accountability. The experience I gained in this role is difficult to articulate. For 13 years I had daily exposure to decisions and BAU relating to large-scale investments across liquid and illiquid asset classes involving complex tax and legal structuring supported by the necessary risk, financial, operational and resourcing arrangements to manage the investment portfolios. Through QIC's investments, I also had the opportunity to serve as Company Secretary to QInvest Limited (Financial Advice), Queensland BioCapital Fund and Port of Brisbane Limited.
