Working on the BEP project with Jacobs and SL to deliver a transportation system for the import and export of waste fuel within the Sellafield facility. Leading a team of mechanical design engineers to deliver level 3 checked documents on time and within budget.

Responsible Engineer capable of leading a team of Design Engineers to deliver a Silo Emptying Plant for Sellafield from front end engineering to detail design. Delivering technical compliant design deliverables in accordance with the Design Input Requirement within budget and time constraints. Working to KPI’s and monitoring engineering delivery and resource utilisation.

Responding to STQ’s (Supplier Technical Queries) and responsible for detail drawings and GA’s to level 3 checking sign offs. Worked on SSD (Second Stage Deployment) arm for a silo emptying plant at Sellafield to the customer functional specifications within scope and budget to deliver detailed manufacturing drawings.

Experienced Senior Engineer currently working on major revamp projects for NNL within the Sellafield site. SC cleared, C2 and R2 access and P4 pass holder. Conducted design reviews in front of clients, author of Risk assessments, BOD'S, Op's manuals, Meeting Minutes, Hazzops, DJR's, Kick off meetings, DR3, 4 and 5 reviews, EH&SR docs and project close outs. Very experienced user of Inventor, CREO and Solidworks with GD&T knowledge and level 3 checking.

Mechanical Platform Design Engineer working on Warranty Claims and integration of existing Antenna systems for armoured vehicles using Pro Engineer.

As CAD Manager I was responsible for the day to day running of the Design Office which has 17 staff and contract personnel. The work involved tendering for jobs, project management, Forecasting, Resourcing, Budgeting, Design reviews and face to face meetings with clients and consultants.

Working in current product and dealing with design issues on warranty claims for marine applications using Pro Engineer CAD software. Involved in design reviews and visits to supplier test facilities. Worked closely with the R&D department to develop solutions.

Worked as part of a core team of design engineers on the Design and detailing for Tactica SANG (Saudi Arabia National Guard). A similar vehicle to Tactica Norway but configured as Armoured Personnel Carrier, Platoon Command, Command and Control and Ambulance variants. Followed the manufacture of the vehicles at the Newcastle plant in a manufacturing support role feeding back assembly issues to the design engineers back in Barrow. CAD system used – Pro Engineer Wildfire2. Development of prototype hull design for Boxer, the next generation of MRAV (Multi Role Armoured Vehicle). Boxer is a permanent 8x8 multi purpose modular vehicle for rapid configuration and battle damage repair.
