• Led and managed all aspects of the program to identify and implement projects that renew infrastructure to enable a robust and sustainable wastewater treatment facility, to reduce water usage, and design, construct, and install new water treatment and purification equipment facilities to improve water quality. • Coordinated over $250M capital projects, such as clarifiers, bar screens, activated sludge nutrient balance, brand new facility with ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, granular activated carbon filtration, ion exchange, and solids thickening. Worked closely with the engineering team to define and manage scope, costs, schedule, and commissioning plans. • Coordinated design reviews: safety (PHA, PSSRs), maintenance conscious engineering, process, mechanical, facilities, electrical, P&IDs, etc. Ensured reviews recommendations were incorporated to the projects design. • Developed quantitative plan to measure equipment performance and define quantitative deliverables for each project within the program. • Worked closely with corporate and plant EHS as well as engineering to manage the permitting procedure for buildings, air emissions and effluent discharge. • Worked closely with corporate and plant EHS resources to ensure that plant complies with all local, state, and federal guidelines at all times. • Developed staffing and training plan to lead effort to ensure smooth start-up of operations. Coordinated development of SOPs, work instructions, and O&M manuals for new facility. • Filled in for Wastewater Operations Director as needed. Provided technical expertise to the wastewater treatment facilities utilizing continuous improvement tools.

• Managed 4 wastewater treatment plants with 36 operators and coordinators and $20M/year budget. Plants were located at Farmington, Hastings, Cottage Grove, and Stillwater, MN. • Led and facilitated project teams to ensure project completion. Coordinated construction activities to minimize disruptions to operations. Provided input for written plans and specifications. • Managed compliance with environmental and safety regulations, such as effluent and stormwater discharge, water usage, air emission, biosolids disposal, OSHA and internal safety programs. • Managed biosolids program, land applying 20K tons of biosolids per year. Liaison with stakeholders: MPCA, Dakota County, Townships, UofM, farmers, public, contractors, process engineers, etc. • Coached team developing plans, providing feedback and training to achieve SMART goals. • Procured services and goods defining scope of work, cost, and schedule. Set and led new contracts.

• Filled in for Assistant Managers, overseeing wastewater treatment operations and processes, supervising daily activities, coordinating work, and prioritizing tasks. • Led continuous improvement programs: led Root Cause Analysis teams to investigate and identify causal factors for process or equipment failures; author job aids such as SOP's. • Managed innovative projects such as Augmented Reality and Critical Operations Control Program. • Liaison with EHS Team to author trainings to assure compliance with regulations: confined space, LOTO, electrical hazards, fall protection, stormwater, underground storage tanks, hazardous waste.

• Managed a team of 12 responsible for water (ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis) and wastewater treatment plants, receiving "Green wastewater treatment plant" award. • Managed several capital projects such as $700K water reuse, which scope was to treat effluent through ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis systems to be utilized in beer process equipment. • Managed Water KPI reducing 17% of water usage in a year (Top 10 of Latin America). Participated in the RMF Watershed Committee as an active member. Excellent relationship with the main stakeholders: regulatory agencies, communities, byproducts buyers, etc. • “Best Environmental Campaign” of Latin America for promoting water usage awareness internally and in the community. Implemented projects to monitor and manage water usage per equipment, donated effluent to brick factory and for animal feeding reducing water usage in the watershed. • Implemented AB-Inbev Environmental Management Program. Trained and audited plant to ensure compliance with program. Recognized as “Best Environmental Pillar” of Latin America. • Responsible for water and wastewater permit requests, renewals, and compliance. • Managed byproducts sales: $1.2 M/year. Managed expenses (cleaning, indirect raw material, CIPs): profit of $400K/year utilizing Six Sigma tools. • Developed team members providing recognition and actionable coaching, supporting their career. As a result, they became managers and auditors. • Awards: “Most Engaged Team” and “Injury Free Team” by OSHA routine checks: PPE, hazardous substances, high works, confined space, hot works, and LOTO.

• Coached and trained a team of 12, reorganizing processes and procedures of the second largest Brazilian brewery, resulting in the “Most Engaged Team” award. • Managed water and wastewater treatment plants outperforming in safety, quality, maintenance, and yearly KPI goals, such as lowest water usage (3 gal of water/gal of beverage produced) and 99.5% wastewater organic matter removal. • Member of PCJ Watershed Committee during the worst water shortage in the region's history. • Led projects with innovative solutions to reduce water usage, achieving Top 3 Corporate Ranking of Latin America. Received “World Best Environmental Campaign” Award (2014). • Led two anaerobic reactors’ startups, avoiding production curtailment (80,000 gal of beverage/day). • Implanted management system: 5S, root causes analyses, GMP, TPM, standardization, permit compliance checks, etc. Resulting in “The Best Management System” Award.

• Managed byproducts’ sales ($ 300K/month). • Found better ecological and financial disposal for byproducts, saving $ 50K/year. • Audited byproducts’ disposal facilities to ensure EHS regulations compliance.
