Initially an engineer on J28-29 managing the communications upgrade package of works; chambers, ducting, reinforced concrete foundations (in-situ and pre-cast), retaining solutions (small scale to soil nailing/spray concrete/gabions, snaging and handover. I was also involved in the completion of link 4 (J29-30), took on the role of Safety Engineer and Testing Engineer for the whole scheme, and was involved in the construction of pile caps and the installtion of Superspan Gantries and Super Cantelever Gantries. On both sections there were aspects of self delivery and managing subcontractors. Started on the scheme as a Trainee Engineer, qualified and finsihed the scheme as an Assistant Engineer and a Technician member of the ICE.

* Earthworks and Retaining structures; * I was involved in slope stabilisation works utilising king pile retaining walls at two locations, and the construcion of new entrances to the rail depo (new kerb lines and footpath construction) * I was primarily involved in setting out operations and monitoring the quality of the works.
