• Set the AI product vision in partnership with business VPs and engineering SVPs, influenced strategic decisions on products and investments through regular C-suite updates, under the direct leadership of CAIO. • Recruited and built a global AI team from 1 to 5+ across 3 regions (NAM, LATAM, and APAC) in under 6 months. • Developed patent-pending solutions in organizing contract documents, iteratively improved complex table extraction and audit risk detection, delivered as SaaS features for Contract Management. • Initiated the transformation of contract compliance operations for a team of 70+ with 90+% automation adoption, and the VP commented ‘I can’t yank the tools away from them now’.

• Drove incremental annual sales through 15+ productized predictive models, partnered with senior business and product leaders including SVP of Customer Journey, VPs of Loyalty, Marketing, and Product Management. • Forged strategic partnership with Supply Chain and Site Merchandising teams to drive LLM-based product review summary, PDP matching and product quality issue monitoring from POC to production. Expanded coverage from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of products and reduced manual analysis time from weeks to hours per month. • Served on corporate AI governance and security review boards, establishing risk frameworks and compliance protocols for enterprise LLM application deployments. • Built and led a team of 10+ data scientists and machine learning engineers, owned the analytics and AI/ML solutions in the Customer domain, set the technical vision and directed explorations of emerging AI capabilities. • Built an enterprise-wide data and analytics community — virtual forums, monthly showcases, annual conferences — to drive knowledge sharing and data-driven decision-making.

• Led a team of 5+ data scientists building ML-driven space allocation solutions across a period that saw space productivity grow from $449 to $633 per square foot. • Partnered across Merchandising, Store Planning, and Category Management to plan and execute strategic capital investments impacting 1,200+ stores and driving millions in incremental sales. • Partnered with Store Operations to develop BOPIS space prediction models; scaled and deployed in six weeks to help stores adapt to triple-digit demand surges in pick-up orders during the pandemic.

• Developed mathematical models of emerging generation resources, new operation requirements and changing power market regulations, supported more than 100 clients around the world and $10M+ revenue per year. • Modernized legacy products, reduced the runtime by over 90% and testing turnaround time by 80%.

- Managed data from utility outage databases and other sources (e.g. real-time weather measurements) through spatial/spatial-temporal relationship using GIS. - Simulated distribution faults through cause-effect modeling and spatial-temporal simulation. - Investigated sampling strategies (geographic aggregation, feature space clustering, and small world stratification) and fault diagnosis algorithms (LR, ANN, KNN, SVM, AIS).

- Developed load forecasting tool INSITE for ComEd (MS Access queries, VBA, and GUI). - Provided supports in various projects, including power factor assessment, weather normalization of loads, and reliability assessment.

Collaborative mobile robots - Investigated and developed self-localization algorithms on Sony AIBO embedded platform for robot soccer. - Led the Tsinghua Hephaestus robot soccer team from 2004 to 2006, won the national champion of China in 2004 and the 4th place in the technical challenge of RoboCup 2006 Four-Legged League.
