Caitlin Howarth is Director of Leadership Development at the Truman National Security Project and Center for National Policy. She is also a Fellow at the Roosevelt Institute, where she focuses on human security and humanitarian technology. While obtaining a MPP in International & Global Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School, she worked as a security analyst and report manager for the Satellite Sentinel Project team at Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, coordinating report production on human security threats in the southern border regions of Sudan. Formerly the COO and National Policy Director of the Roosevelt Institute Campus Network, Howarth's work has been covered by the BBC, New York Times, and other outlets. The operations team, based at Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, fuses open source and confidential information with satellite imagery to generate actionable intelligence for civilian protection.

The Project works to build, promote, and advance a future-proof plan to build out American high-speed Internet access infrastructure, close the digital divide, and empower local, state and national economic growth. Responsibilities included managing media relations, research and strategic messaging, developing advocacy strategy, and coordinating key partnerships among other organizations and individuals.
