I served in an expert capacity researching and representing the agency on the impacts of climate change on various aspects of public health. My primary interests are in infectious disease, marine biology, One Health, occupational health, and applied mixed methods. I was an Agency Chapter Lead Author on the Health Chapter of the NCA6.

• Lead for the division on climate change impacts on public health. Represent the division in intra- and interagency forums, including with planning EPA research and funding opportunities, and NASA ROSES and CDC grant panels. • Research and analyze climate impacts data related to oceans, harmful algal blooms, Vibrio, Lyme disease, mental health, ecological effects, environmental health. This includes data collection and analysis, contract and program management, and report-writing. • Co-chair, USGCRP Climate Change and Human Health Group (CCHHG). Provide the agency’s perspective on a variety of climate issues, including advising on federal direction related to research and the potential for creating and implementing a new National Climate Assessment. This includes meeting extremely tight deadlines; keeping a high-level, interagency writing and policy team on time and message; and translating scientific language for a non-science audience Manage and lead the IWG (13 diverse member agencies, and over 50 members), and 4 subgroups. Serve as the primary point of contact for agency representatives, Congress, White House, and stakeholders. Represent the IWG in briefings with the OSTP and Congressional offices. Respond to requests for information from Congress Develop and enact nationally- and regionally-based outreach and implementation strategies, focusing on needs and knowledge gaps of stakeholders at the local, regional, and national levels. Draft and design communications materials, such as talking points, webinar content, and outreach documents. Represent the IWG at national conferences • HAB event-response: Work on a team in NCCOS who oversees event-response activities and projects. • Conduct domestic and international outreach and coalition-building with a variety of stakeholders and constituencies, with a specific campaign focus on the Latin American and Caribbean region. Manage campaigns in Panama and the British Virgin Islands to achieve permanent, sweeping protections for sharks. • Project management: Oversee the development of communications products, contracts, and grant agreements, and manage contractors. Lead and coordinate logistics and preparation for domestic and international meetings. • Assist with the development and implementation of grasstops, grassroots, legislative, and communication strategies. • Develop and draft policy education materials for embassy officials, policy-makers, media, and the general public. • Lead and coordinate logistics and preparation for domestic and international meetings and forums. • Associate Editor, social media efforts: Maintain and contribute to Pew and coalition Twitter and Facebook accounts. Key successes: • Coordinated efforts in the British Virgin Islands that led to the creation and implementation of the territory's shark sanctuary. • Established a series of systems to manage project budgets and contractor work for Pew’s Global Shark Conservation team, which has since been replicated by 4 other projects within the organization. • Contributed to organizational success at Pew in creating one of the world's largest shark sanctuaries, and in securing international trade regulations for 7 species of sharks and manta rays. • Wrote and produced one of the most popular communications products published by Pew.

• Monitored legislative action, and produced educational documents for policy-makers, media and the general public. • Developed and drafted campaign outreach materials, including action alerts, fact sheets, and reports. • Served as a translator for French language documents for international meetings and forums. • Managed contract process, including the drafting, editing, and executing of all of the department’s contracts.
