Completing 300+ Hours at my High School Placement during my last semester of Graduate School. I am under the supervision of the High School Counselor, Amy Bowe. During my time I have helped administer the YRBS Survey, ACT, and ACT Workkeys. Individual and Group weekly meetings with a select number of students while also meeting the needs of 'walk-in' students. Helped look over the master schedule while also providing schedules and making schedule changes for students. Attended multiple IEP and CST Wrap-Around team meetings. Work closely and frequently with School Administration and teachers, Conduct Future Planning Groups for Junior students, provided future planning assistance for Senior Students such as college applications, transcripts, and scholarships, Parent-Teacher conferences and assisted in the Resource Fair as well as the Financial Aid Night

Completed my 100+ hours of practicum experience at a K-12 school district under the supervision of the School Counselor, Jerrett Kowalski. During my practicum experience I gained the following experience; Working 1-on-1 with an ODD 1st grade student, taught weekly guidance lesson to Kindergartners and 4th graders, conducted a Wisconsin Schools Go 2 College Day, provided a pre/post survey for the WSG2C Day, Individual and Group Counseling Sessions, Future Planning, Scholarships, Parent Meetings, worked with local law enforcement, attended the UW-Barron County Counselor to Counselor Workshop, RTI Tier 2 staff meetings, along with conferences with school administration.

Completing my 306 hour internship with Whitehall School District under the direction of the head Middle/High School, School Counselor, Laura Eide. Engaging with students and parents about future planning and finding resources. Counsel students when needed. Documentation of all work done with students. Facilitating awareness groups. Teaching 6th grade classes about careers and higher education.

I am currently in the School Counseling Graduate Program at UW-Stout. This program is accredited through CACREP. In my last semester (Spring 2016) I am completing a 600+ hour full-time internship within a Middle School and High School. Throughout my experience through this program I have had many experiences within the K-12 grades, this includes; individual and group meetings, scheduling, guidance lessons, career/future planning, scholarships, IEP and CST Wrap-Around meetings, RTI implementation, Administration and Proctoring of the YRBS Surveys, ACT, and ACT Workkeys, documentation of work and cum file additions, parent-teacher conferences, referrals with community agencies, Wisconsin Schools Go 2 College day (Seniors), and overall learning to advocate for the students within the school system. Attending conferences and workshops to gain knowledge while also being apart of ASCA.

The Guidance and Counseling Office at Central Schools provides developmental, as well as pro-active preventative and remedial services for students. This involves a cooperative effort among students, staff members, parents and the community. The purpose is to empower all learners to lead satisfying and productive lives by assisting them in identifying and achieving educational, career, personal and social goals. We are here to help by working with academic issues, educational and career planning, as well as personal concerns.
