As an intern at KEZI 9 News I shadowed reporters and producers helping out with small tasks that were needed. I was able to help shoot videos while working at the station in Eugene, as well as write and edit VOSOTS which were put on air. Working at KEZI 9 News while still a student was a great learning experience and starting point for a career in broadcast journalism.

I worked for three years at the University of Oregon Substance Abuse Prevention Program, coordinating weekend seminars. To prepare for the courses, I wrote the exams, researched academic journals for the reading assignments, and checked in with instructors. I then coordinated the events onsite and took care of student and speaker needs.

I worked on the Cinema Pacific Account, focusing on media relations and marketing strategies.

I helped to organize and put on the Oregon Prevention Conference in 2010 along with a team that included employees from the University of Oregon, The State of Oregon, and Lane County. My biggest project that contributed to the conference was designing the conference program.I was responsible for putting in all of the session information in the program, making sure it was update to date, fornatting the design, and getting it to print in time.

I work at KSBW Action News 8 Monday through Friday, the NBC affiliate serving the Central California Coast. I am the Monterey area reporter, working out of the bureau in Heritage Harbor, and my focus is on the peninsula. I am a general assignment reporter, covering the stories that are important to the community I live in. It is my mission to make sure my neighbors are informed and have trusted source to get their news from. I work closely with a team of photographers at KSBW to bring you accurate information fast.
