I’m currently working on an incredibly meaningful consulting project with Better Cotton, the world’s largest cotton sustainability initiative. The focus? Understanding how climate change is impacting cotton farming communities across 11 major cotton-producing countries spanning Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas and using that insight to drive smarter decisions. Our team is helping Better Cotton identify climate “hotspots” regions where farmers are facing the greatest risks from droughts, floods, heat stress, and more. Through a combination of global datasets (IPCC, FAO, WMO, World Bank) and Better Cotton’s own farming impact data, we’re building interactive visual tools using Power BI to support targeted action and resource planning. This work is part of Better Cotton’s broader 2030 strategy helping over 2.9 million farmers adapt to climate challenges, improve livelihoods, and build a more resilient global cotton supply chain. I’ve had the opportunity to lead research, data structuring, and help shape outputs that are not only technically sound but also practical for on-the-ground stakeholders.
