To ensure maximum cargo intake, even crane splits, as per agreement with terminals, optimal draft and trim using minimum ballast but always aiming for lowest possible fuel consumption, in compliance with safety rules and through the enforcement of the line’s policy. - In charge of the creation of loading /unloading plans and quality of same. - Ensure that Voyages and port operations are run effectively. - To ensure in collaboration with Captains/First Officers, the good conditions of the vessels’ seaworthiness throughout the voyage. - Plan vessel to the budget capacity in order to meet and support the line’s business objective. - Minimize re-stowage when achieving full capacity. - Optimize cargo intake and establish max intake on the deployed route - Optimize trim and draft through optimal stowage always ensuring minimal fuel consumption for the voyage. - Study and validate requests for Out Of Gauge (OOG) special containers, Break Bulk cargo - To insure dangerous cargo loadings acc to regulations and company policy. - Following the request of the Area Logistics Department and Partners on MTY container distribution and change of container destinations requests. - Effective negotiation with terminal planning departments. -to arrange bunker supplies(contact suppliers, bunker brokers and try to get best price) -pricing break bulk cargoes and flat rack cntrs. -to check MSDS forms and deciding loading of IMDG containers acc to Company Policy. -to notify cut off dates and times to marketting departments. -to specify loading allocations and notify to related marketting departments. -negotiation of terminal tariffs - Coordination of the operations of the vessels , tracking port operations, keeping vessels in rotation, analyzing the daily bookings for each vessel in order to keep a full and profitable vessel.
