Contributed to the back-end development of the BlackBoxPlatform at Surgical Safety Technologies Inc., addressing a critical need in healthcare. This initiative gains importance considering the 2016 Johns Hopkins study, which highlighted that medical errors are the third-leading cause of death in the U.S., with over 250,000 deaths annually. As an intern, I was involved in enhancing this platform, which has been proven to save an average of 2 lives per operating room per year when installed. My role included authoring 1000+ lines of production code and 1000+ lines unit tests, focusing on backend development to ensure platform reliability and efficiency, directly contributing to improving surgical outcomes and patient safety.

Played a key role in analyzing 10,000+ data points across multiple categories for the Vector Institute's AI report, contributing significantly to insights on Canada's AI ecosystem. Assisted in market research for the AI report by developing digital workspaces to gather and integrate case studies from more than 10 companies. Created client-facing materials for the 'Electrified' project (acquired by Purolator). Retrieved critical information from over 100 machine component diagrams, significantly improving the precision and detail of the project's analysis. Designed a SMOTE algorithm for better data balancing, crucial for training a model anticipated to enhance Deloitte's consulting projects with a 10% improvement in internal resource efficiency.

Employed data driven approaches to better interact with the constituents in the region and developed a new website to collect data and reach new insights to achieve this.
