Bryan Nesbitt assumed the role of vice president, GM Global Design on July 1, 2025.Nesbitt joined General Motors in 2001 and has held numerous global leadership roles throughout his career. Previously, Nesbitt served as executive director of Cadillac Design, as well as Global Advanced Design and Architectures. He has also served as GM China Design vice president, vice president, GMIO Design; vice president, GM North America Design; and vice president, GM Europe Design. He is an Honors graduate of Art Center College of Design and received the Young Leadership & Excellence Award from the Automotive Hall of Fame in 2002.Some of the award-winning vehicles designed under his leadership include the 2008 NACOTY Chevrolet Malibu, 2008 Buick Enclave, 2009 ECOTY Opel Insignia, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe. The 2022 Cadillac AV Halo Concepts Portfolio (PersonalSpace, SocialSpace and InnerSpace) came to life through Nesbitt’s leadership and Cadillac’s latest, and stunning, concept vehicles – Opulent Velocity, Elevated Velocity and SOLLEI – were created under Nesbitt’s guidance.

Bryan served as the principle designer of the Chrysler PT Cruiser, which sold over 1.3M units in its decade of production. In 2001 Motor Trend named the PT Cruiser as its Car of the Year and Car and Driver put it on its Ten Best list. The PT Cruiser also won the NA COTY, based on a solid majority of top automotive journalists charged with "picking a vehicle that has set new standards or benchmarks in its class while considering aspects such as general design, safety, fuel economy, handling, general roadworthiness, performance, functionality, technical innovation, driver satisfaction and price." It also held the distinction of being listed by Consumer Guide automotive editors as "Best Buy" continuously from 2001 through 2006. The PT Cruiser was the most profitable small car in their corporate history. His most significant concepts include the 1996 Chrysler CCV and the 1999 Chrysler Pronto Cruizer. Notably, the CCV was featured in the 1999 Modern Musuem of Art's "Different Roads" exhibition.
