About

Nephraegis Therapeutics (Nephros = kidney, Aegis = shield) is an early stage biotechnology company dedicated to discovering and developing novel therapeutics for patients with renal disease. Renal disease has a major impact on patients and the heathcare system – with limited options for treatment. Working with our academic partners at Medical College of Wisconsin and University of Texas Southwestern, Nephraegis Therapeutics is exploring the pharmacologic potential of two families of epoxyeicosanoids (patents issued). Our lead compound NPH-022 is targeted to treat Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), a major renal disease state with no approved pharmacologic treatment. NPH-022 has been demonstrated to have efficacy and excellent pharmacokinetics in preclinical models. In addition, Nephraegis Therapeutics is continuing to discover novel compounds to be used in treating multiple other renal disease states.
