Bruno Garcia

After four years in a full-time creative role that helped me develop a solid understanding of the Aussie advertising industry, I returned to freelancing, collaborating with agencies, production companies, and post-production studios on campaigns for Australian and international clients. Projects have included animation and video editing for TVCs, online video, and social platforms, as well as creative consulting on branded content and digital activations.

I embraced a fantastic opportunity in Melbourne, creating video and animation content for a range of platforms, including TVCs, digital advertising, DOOH, and interactive media. I produced work for leading brands such as Priceline, Seek, The Athlete’s Foot, Toyota, Bank Australia, CAT, and Dodoni, with a strong focus on delivering impactful and engaging visuals.

Over 12 years as a freelancer, I collaborated with respected production and post-production studios, including Barry Company, Delicatessen, Conspiração, and Spark Media. I’ve also worked with renowned agencies like AlmapBBDO, R/GA, and Leo Burnett, producing projects for clients such as Google, Visa, Shell, and Volkswagen. I supervised creative solutions for various platforms, delivering innovative designs for TV, internet, and mobile media, all while fostering long-term client relationships.

Developed campaigns for top brands like Nike, GM, FIAT, and Unilever. My work also extended to entertainment projects, including the mini-series Antônia (aired on Rede Globo) and the feature film City of Men.

I contributed to high-impact projects, including the award-winning music video “Gueto” by Marcelo D2, which was honoured at MTV Video Music Brazil 2006 — the Brazilian version of the VMAs.

At Dinamo Filmes, I explored techniques such as stop motion, 2D animation, and 3D design, culminating in the animation of my first full TVC, which was broadcast in November 2005.

This was my first step into the world of computer graphics. At Vetor Zero, I learned the foundational concepts of traditional hand-drawn animation and explored the universe of 3D and visual effects. My primary tasks included scanning frames drawn by illustrators, cleaning and colorizing the artwork, and compiling the image sequences for compositing in After Effects. This experience provided a hands-on introduction to animation workflows and for creative visual storytelling.
