I have 20+ years of experience in Application Engineering and Product Development for technical articles such as rubber compounds, industrial fabrics, steel cables, and polymers, working at Continental ContiTech Division, Veyance Technologies, and Goodyear. I have expertise in using tools such as D-FMEA, DoEX, VOC, international standards, and customer requirements to ensure the quality and reliability of the products. I have a proven track record of leading complex projects and managing multicultural engineering teams. My experience spans various industries, including mining, energy, and manufacturing, where I have served clients such as FreePort, Warrior Met Coal, Eriks, Minera Escondida, Minera Codelco, Vale, and Petrobras. I have successfully developed and launched a range of products, including hoses, conveyor belts, power transmission belts, and pneumatic springs, which have significantly improved efficiency and reduced downtime for clients. My expertise in project management, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability to diverse cultural contexts have been instrumental in the success of these projects. I am also skilled in leveraging the strengths of multidisciplinary teams to overcome complex challenges and achieve innovative solutions, as well as ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results. As the Head of Application Engineering, I lead a diverse team of managers, engineers, and technicians across 4 countries (USA, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil) serving 11 countries in the Americas. I have achieved significant financial results for the company by mitigating field complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction, implementing cost-reduction initiatives, leading to increased profitability and facilitating the introduction of new products to the market, resulting in expanded market share.
