CNS Drug Development Consultant | Neurodegenerative Disorders

About

With over 20 years of experience in CNS drug development, I am a passionate and strategic neurobiologist with a deep commitment to advancing therapies for neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, PSP, and ALS. My career has been dedicated to transforming cutting-edge science into clinical realities, leading to multiple INDs, CTAs, and successful early-phase clinical trials across Europe, the US, and Australia. As Senior Director and Head of Preclinical Development at Asceneuron SA, I’ve spearheaded preclinical programs that supported eight Phase I and one Phase II clinical trials, played a pivotal role in securing FDA Orphan Drug Designation, and contributed to raising over $160M in Series A–C funding. I bring a unique blend of scientific depth and operational leadership—managing cross-functional teams, directing CRO collaborations worldwide, and aligning nonclinical strategies with regulatory and business objectives. 🔬 My core strengths include: • Preclinical strategy from discovery to IND/CTA • Translational biomarker development for Phase I trials • In-depth understanding of neurodegenerative disease biology • Regulatory writing & global submission support (FDA, EMA, MHRA, TGA) • External collaborations with CROs and KOLs to accelerate development
