Newell Rubbermaid is one of US fortune 500 companies. It manufactures and markets a big portfolio of consumer and commercial products with well-known brand names. In July 2005, I transferred from Quality Department to one of sourcing teams and have been responsible for managing sourcing projects and suppliers since then. Now I’m with the sourcing team for Electrics & Electronics and handling products of commercial foodservice and baby parenting. My responsibility covers the full process of project development/transfer from RFQ to shipment, as well as sourcing goal attainment and supplier management.

Shenzhen office of Newell Rubbermaid Global Sourcing was opened in 2001 and I joined in April, 2002. As one of the earliest quality personnel, I established and led a team of supplier quality engineers and provided support for several sourcing teams. My responsibility was supplier quality and SQE team management.

Philips Mobile Display Systems, a subsidiary of Philips was the world’s leading manufacturer of mobile display modules and supplies LCD modules to the world’s leading companies of telecom, automotive and healthcare products, such as Nokia, Siemens, Ericsson, Kyocera, Bosch, Lifescan, etc. As a Senior Quality Engineer, I was in charge of quality management for Nokia account in the first year and then in charge of QA operation for the business unit.

SGS is the world’s largest provider of inspection, testing, certification and other technical services. As an internal auditor, I was responsible for auditing suppliers and inspections to ensure quality of products and services supplied to clients.

Respironics Medical Device Inc. is a US listed company and specializes in respiratory devices and accessories. Its Shenzhen factory produces respiratory masks, valves, etc. As a Process Engineer, I was responsible for process optimization, tooling design, quality improvement, etc.

Tianshui Tractor Manufactory is a state owned company specialized in tractors and farm trucks. As an assistant engineer, I was responsible for process management and designed some tooling.
