Brooks Schaffer is the Founder and Managing Partner of Waypoint West, an independent wealth advisory firm built for the modern client. The firm delivers holistic, fiduciary guidance that integrates investment strategy, tax and estate planning, private market access, and philanthropic planning—aligned to each client’s values, purpose, and long-term vision. Prior to founding Waypoint West, Brooks worked as a Director at Alkeon Capital where he led Western US and APAC capital formation for their hedge fund and venture capital strategies. Brooks began his career at BlackRock within their US Wealth Advisory group where he provided direct support to investment advisors on BlackRock investment strategies, asset allocation and portfolio construction. Brooks holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and is a CFA charterholder.
