Yecuris developed a mouse that can support and grow human hepatocytes. I helped maintain the colony and although my time there was short, Yecuris will always hold a special place in my heart.

I managed a very high volume 5 DVM practice with 3 clinic owners, under 2 business names, one being a speciality practice. Relationships are key in this practice, maintaining long term employees and clients relationships, some over 30 years.

Providing world class receptionist suppport to hundreds of companies was inspiring to say the least. As a virtual receptionist I answered calls, took messages, screened and connected calls in a professional, outstandingly friendly, accurate and timely manner. I performed additional specially earned tasks such as scheduling, making outbound calls, procedures involving returned mail and putting together new client gifts. Ruby was a great place to master my verbal and written communication skills.

I managed two research animal housing facilities, opening one in a new location that was soon after granted full accreditation by AAALAC. Starting as an Animal Technician for the School of Veterinary Medicine then the Biology Department provided me the basic standards and protocols of research animal care. My research positions were at the Center for the Study for Animal Wellbeing and the WWAMI departments. I studied animal welfare and behavior and sperm capacitation of mice respectively.
